Flavia D’Avila is a Brazilian theatre director/producer/translator with a noticeable Scottish accent. She happily lived in Edinburgh between 2006 and 2012, having to leave after changes to immigration rules. After three years back in Brazil in what she likes to call her exile, she went back to Scotland to do a PhD, armed with new strategies to fight for her right to remain in the country she considers to be her home.
